Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2, 2025

Look, privacy policies are usually boring legal documents nobody reads. I'm going to try to make this one actually useful.

Here's the short version: I don't sell your data. I don't do anything sketchy with it. I only collect what's needed to make SEO Blab work. That's it.

Now for the slightly longer (but still readable) version:

What Data Gets Collected

I only collect what's actually necessary to run the service and make it better. Here's the breakdown:

Stuff You Give Me Directly:

  • When you sign up: name, email, payment info (handled securely through Stripe—I never see your full card details)
  • When you contact support: whatever you include in your message
  • When you use the tool: the queries you run, data you analyze

Stuff That Gets Collected Automatically:

  • Basic website analytics: which pages you visit, how long you stick around, what device/browser you're using
  • Your IP address (standard for any website)
  • Cookies that keep you logged in and remember your preferences (also standard)

Stuff From Third Parties:

  • If you sign up through Google or another service, I might get basic profile info (only what you choose to share)

What I Do With Your Data

Nothing weird. Seriously. Here's exactly what happens:

  • Run the service: Process your reports, store your account info, keep things working
  • Make it better: Analyze usage patterns to figure out what features to improve
  • Help you out: Respond when you email support
  • Send updates: Occasional emails about new features or important changes (you can unsubscribe anytime)
  • Process payments: Securely handle billing through Stripe

That's the list. I don't use your data for advertising profiles, don't sell it to data brokers, don't do any of that nonsense.

Your Rights (And How to Use Them)

Depending on where you live (GDPR in EU/UK, CCPA in California, etc.), you've got some solid rights:

  • See your data: Request a copy of everything I have on you
  • Fix mistakes: If something's wrong, ask me to correct it
  • Delete everything: Request full deletion (the "right to be forgotten")
  • Stop marketing emails: Unsubscribe link is in every email, or just reply and say stop
  • Export your data: Get a portable copy to take elsewhere

How to actually do this: Just email adam@simpleeffectiveness.com with what you need. No forms, no bureaucracy, no waiting weeks. I'll handle it.

Keeping Your Data Safe

I use industry-standard security: encrypted connections (SSL), secure servers, access controls, the works. Payment processing goes through Stripe (PCI compliant), so your card details are handled by people way more qualified than me.

Is it 100% unhackable? No system is. But I take this seriously and do everything reasonable to keep your info locked down.

The Cookie Situation

Cookies are those tiny files that help websites work. Here's what SEO Blab uses:

  • Essential cookies: Keep you logged in, remember your settings. Can't turn these off or the site breaks.
  • Analytics cookies: Help me understand which features people use. Totally anonymous aggregated data.
  • Marketing cookies: Only if you opt in. Used for things like retargeting ads.

You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings. Blocking them might make some features wonky, but you're free to do it.

Who Else Sees Your Data

Only trusted services that help run SEO Blab:

  • Stripe: Processes payments securely
  • Cloud hosting: Keeps the site running (AWS, Cloudflare, etc.)
  • Analytics tools: Help me understand usage (Google Analytics, etc.)

I don't share data with advertisers, random third parties, or anyone else. If a service provider gets access, they're contractually bound to protect your data and not use it for anything else.

International Transfers (For EU/UK Folks)

If you're in Europe, your data might get processed in the US (where many cloud services are based). Any transfers comply with GDPR through Standard Contractual Clauses and similar protections.

How Long I Keep Your Data

  • Account data: Until you delete your account
  • Transaction records: As long as tax laws require (usually 7 years)
  • Analytics data: About a year, then it gets deleted
  • Support emails: Until the issue is resolved, then archived or deleted

Want it all gone sooner? Just ask.

Kids' Privacy

SEO Blab isn't designed for children under 13 (or 16 in some regions). I don't knowingly collect data from minors. If that somehow happens, let me know and I'll delete it immediately.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy gets updated, I'll change the date at the top and let you know. Big changes? You'll definitely hear about them before they take effect.

Questions or Concerns?

Honestly, if anything here is confusing or worrying, just reach out: adam@simpleeffectiveness.com

I'd rather answer your questions and make sure you're comfortable than hide behind legal jargon.

TL;DR: Your data stays private. I don't sell it, don't misuse it, and only collect what's needed to make the tool work. You can request changes or deletion anytime. No weirdness, no gotchas.
